Hey!

Soooooo, I know I know. I haven't made a post in a few....years! I kind of left this blog behind when I began blogging for Seventeen Magazine my freshman year of college. I'm now currently blogging for CollegeFashionista.com and have been doing so since my sophomore year. Even though I had so much fun blogging through out high school, when I got to college blogging became more like a job and way less leisurely. To sum this all up, I hope any of my followers that are still around are doing well! I finally have decided to start blogging for me again. i know that i've been MIA for a while but i've been extremely busy! big things are happening for me and i couldnt go without sharing it with my wonderful followers.

As you already know, I'm attending college at Hampton University and i loveee it!! I know I don't post on here very often but you can now keep up with my freshman year experience in Seventeen Magazine and Seventeen.com!!

I was chosen out of thousands of girls to be apart of Seventeen's Freshman 15. I will be blogging and vlogging every week on Seventeen.com about my freshman year! I was also featured in the October issue of Seventeen Magazine which is in stores now.

I'm super excited that I was given this opportunity and I thank God everyday. I hope that you all will go out and pick up a copy of the magazine and check up on me and my freshman year at Seventeen.com! (leave comments on there too!) Thanksss. =)

almost there.

this was my last weekend in chicago..its bittersweet.

thursday morning i'll be saying Goodbye Chicago, and Hello Hampton University. =)

one month.

I start college in exactly 1 month. I've never been more excited, nervous, and anxious in life.
Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia.. August 28th. The beginning of the next chapter of my life. =)

and... I met Pharrell yesterdayy!!

where did the time go?

I can not believe that I am 18 and a highschool graduate alreadyyy.

I have sooo many memories from highschool.. good and bad.. but i can honestly say tht i wouldnt change anything. I learned soo many lessons over these 4 years and every single person i encountered taught me something different. I've gone through heartbreak..i've been betrayed..and i've been through a couple scary things.. but the good def outweighs the bad! I ranked number 8 in my class and graduated with a lot of honors. I have made lifelong friends that i plan to never let go and memories that will never fade. I'm soooo thankful. =)

Soon i'll be taking that trip to Hampton, Virginia to start a new phase in my life. I'm feeling every emotion right now about that but its okay.. because i think i'm finally ready. This new experience that i am about to go through actually inspired my first tattoo.

It says.. "Wherever you go, go with all your heart." When I heard this quote I knew it was perfect. I am sooo nervous about going so far away from school. I pray everyday that i dont regret it. My mom isnt really all that supportive about me going to Virginia.. if Hampton was in Illinois she would love it.. but its not lol. So even though i'm a little scared, i'm going to my dream school... and i'm going with all my heart. This is something that i'm going to apply to my life forever because i know that i'm going to go a lottt of places during my lifetime.
but anywayss. i'm sorry i don't blog as much as i used to. i promise i'll get better. thanks to all the followers who have stuck with me this long! =)

my bday is almost hereee.

My 18th birthday is this Wednesday, May 26th!!!

and guess what?

My highschool graduation is the nxt day Thursday, May 27th! lol

what better bday present than my high school diploma?? ayeee =)

i fell down the stairs. =(

PROM IS IN 3 DAYS!!! AHHHHHHH! lmaoo.

and i knoww i've been stressing wayyy too much. i've had nightmares like for the past 3 nights about something going wrong...lol.

and omggg wen i tried on my dress and shoes the other day... i was about to go downstairs and show my dad... and i FELL DOWN THE STAIRS! i guess my heel got caught in my dress lmaoo. it happened so fast.. the next thing i knew i was hanging on to the banisterr.. lmao. i only fell like down five steps and only my mom saw but i still felt embarrassed.. =( lmaooo. i'll never forget that.

everyone pleaseee wish me luck! i'm ready to get this thing over with and have a good time!

Prom is in less then 2 weeks!!

i just made my app 2 get my makeup done yesterdayy.
and i ordered my shoes online this week too...

but i still have no accessories, or a clutch/purse!

(if anyone knows a good accessories website or store..comment please!! lol)

but anywayss.. as it gets closer im starting to get a little more excitedd.
my dress is gorgeousss! i can't stop touching it and looking at it lol. i can't wait to get all dressed up and pampered lol and take 1023939 pics && ride in the limo with my bestfriendss..

i just hope everything goes according to plan.. because if it doesnt.. every1 who knows me already knows lol.. i will most likely turn into PROMZILLA!!! lmaoo

but wait do you know what prom means??? less than a month till my bday-May 26th and graduation-May 27th!!

i'm gonna post pics so you all can see me in my beautiful dresss lol and with my date and stuff.

my little trip to the VA.

sooo did i tell you guys that i committed to Hampton University??
yess. paid that $600 deposit and sent in my residence forms.
i'm excited,nervous, anxious, idkk i prolly couldn't find the right words to describe it..even if i sat here all day lol.
but yeah. its pretty much official. i neverrr would of thought I would be going to college out of state.. the way my mom is lol.. but its happening, its really happening.
i'm kinda at this point right now that i'm just ready.. its time to move on. highschool has been nice.. but its been comfortable. i'm going to Hampton to be uncomfortable.. if that makes any sense? This is gonna be something so totally new and different for me..and thats what I really need right now. a fresh start.
After lotsss of begging my agreed to let me go to Hampton for highschool day on April 2nd. It where all the admitted students are on campus and they have like tours all day, open houses, and lots of food! I went on the plane by myself for the first timeee lol and I stayed with my cousin at her apt.(she goes to hampton too) I got to meet a lot of ppl that I had been talking to on facebook that already went to hampton and tht are going there nxt year too. It was a lottt of fun.. and pretty much the highlight of my spring break since the rest of it has been pretty DEAD.

i'm so ready to graduateeee.
the ppl at my high school are still in an 8th grade mindset.
i'm so over it all.

sitting in the desks waiting for the stupid bell to ring.
asking permission to go pee.
paying 2 dollars to wear my own freaking clothes on dress down days.
dealing with the phony and petty little girls.
coming home to listen to my parents yell constantly about nothingggg.

lets get this spring break thing over with...
then lets get this prom thing over with...
then this graduation thing over with...
i'm ready to hop on that plane.. and land in Hampton, Virginia.

i need a fresh start.

ps. i'm sorry i've been such a bad blogger lately. =(

my prom delimma.

sooo.. let me catch you all up a bit.

-I'm the head of the Prom Committee.
-Prom is in less than 2 months and Prom contracts are due April 14th.
-I don't have any idea on a prom dress, prom date, prom anything!

It's crazy because I have to talk about prom and think about prom all the time.. choosing colors, decorations, even the food... trying to ensure everyone else has a great prom.. BUT I havent even been able to make sure I have a nice timee my damn self. I've been trying not to stress about it too much.. but its getting sooo close. I can kinda sorta see my dress in my head.. but idk if i'm gonna b able to buy it.. or get it made. I have prom date options.. but its either boys tht are toooo into me and i'm not feeling it or you know the friends that wouldnt mind helping me out.. but ehhh.. I want prom to be special, with that special someone. I don't wanna settle.

I want my prom night to be perfect and memorable... hopefully its ends up memorable in a good way.
